Membership is open to all lawyers of Igbo origin, whether patrilineal or matrilineal, who are duly enrolled as legal practitioners in Nigeria and practicing or residing within Abuja and its environs.
The association enjoys a rich generational blend, comprising Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), Judges, Magistrates, senior and young legal practitioners, reflecting its inclusiveness and professional diversity.

- To fight all kinds of discrimination and social injustice as it affects Ndigbo, and to promote social harmony amongst the various ethnic nationalities of Nigeria through the promotion of the rule of law.
- To identify national issues and proffer solutions.
- Proof of Call to Bar (Call to Bar Certificate).
- Supreme Court Enrollment Number/Certificate.
- Must be of Igbo extraction.
- Must be practising or residing in Abuja.
- Completed membership form.
- Passport photograph.
- Payment of registration/annual dues.
- Referral by an existing member (optional but encouraged).
- All information provided in the registration form must be accurate and verifiable.
- Membership is open only to lawyers of Igbo extraction called to the Nigerian Bar.
- Payment of registration fees and annual dues is mandatory for active membership.
- Members must conduct themselves in accordance with the Rules of Professional Conduct for Legal Practitioners and the values of Otu Oka-Iwu, Abuja.
- Misrepresentation, unethical conduct, or actions that undermine the association may lead to suspension or withdrawal of membership.
- The association reserves the right to review membership fees and conditions when necessary.
- Payment and Submission of the registration form signifies acceptance of these terms.
- Access to a strong network of Igbo legal practitioners in Abuja.
- Professional mentorship and guidance, especially for young lawyers.
